Our Mission

Boots on Fire exists to equip, strengthen, and mobilize women to walk boldly in their faith and calling in Jesus Christ. We are committed to building a community of women who pursue spiritual growth with intention—grounded in the Word, refined through accountability, and united in purpose.

Through weekly gatherings, sound teaching, and authentic fellowship, we train and sharpen one another in spiritual discipline, discernment, and warfare. Our mission is to raise up women who are spiritually equipped, emotionally grounded, and ready to serve as the hands and feet of Christ in every area of life.

We believe in cultivating a sisterhood marked by love, strength, and truth—where every woman is seen, supported, and challenged to grow. Together, we stand as a unified force, advancing the Kingdom, reclaiming ground for righteousness, and bringing the light of Christ into dark places.

Ginger Pickern-Montoya

Ginger Pickern-Montoya stands firmly on the truth of 1 Peter 2:9 — “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” Her life and ministry reflect that calling through faith, perseverance, prayer, and boldness in Christ.

As one of the leaders of Boots on Fire and a devoted member of Powerhouse Christian Ministries, Ginger is known for bringing a fiery, Spirit-led word that challenges, strengthens, and equips women to walk boldly in their God-given purpose.

A devoted mother, grandmother, prayer warrior, overcomer, and more than a conqueror through Christ, she carries a heart for encouraging others and praying people through some of life’s hardest seasons.

Ginger’s testimony is one of radical transformation and redemption. After the Lord powerfully saved her life, she experienced a complete transformation through the love, grace, and healing power of Jesus Christ. Because of what God has brought her through, she ministers with authenticity, compassion, bold faith, and a deep understanding of God’s restoring power. Her life stands as a testimony that no one is too far gone for the mercy and calling of God.

Above all, Ginger’s love for her family shines brightly in every area of her life. She is a deeply devoted and nurturing mother who has led by example through strength, sacrifice, faith, and unconditional love. Her children know her as a steady source of wisdom, comfort, encouragement, and fierce prayer. The same compassion and care she pours into her family naturally flows into her ministry, where she lovingly mentors and uplifts the women around her.

Throughout the years, Ginger has faithfully served in various ministries throughout the greater Sacramento area, carrying a passion for discipleship, outreach, encouragement, and intercessory prayer. She has a deep desire to see women healed, restored, empowered, and set ablaze for the Kingdom of God. Whether through teaching, prayer, missions, discipleship, or fellowship, she strives to remind every woman that victory belongs to those who remain rooted in Christ.

In her free time, Ginger enjoys traveling, writing, worshiping the Lord, spending time with family and friends, serving the Lord through various mission opportunities, and continuing to pour into others with compassion, wisdom, and unwavering faith.
